One thing about me is I refuse to eat yogurt without granola or anything crispy on top. I started to make my own granola once I realized most store-bought granola are high in calories, sugar, and saturated fat.
This recipe uses both puffed rice and oats to lower the calorie intake and also has nutritious ingredients such as flaxseeds, chia seeds, and almonds. Try it out and enjoy :)
Ingredients:
4 cups rolled oats
6 cups puffed rice
1 cup chopped almonds
1/4 cup chia seeds (not necessary)
1/4 cup ground flaxseeds (not necessary)
1/2 cup cacao powder
1/4 tsp of sea salt
1 tbsp cinnamon
1 egg white (not necessary)
1/2 cup almond milk (or any milk)
1/2 cup agave syrup (can sub for maple syrup, brown sugar, whatever you want~)
4 tbsp coconut oil (can sub for 1/2 cup of peanut butter)
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 325F
Combine rolled oats, puffed rice, chopped almonds, sea salt, cacao powder, chia seeds, flaxseeds, and cinnamon together.
Whip egg white
